This was my first wedding in the Pacific North West and I had the incredibly good fortune to second shoot it with Bryan Rupp. We pulled up to the Gorge Crest Vineyard and it took me a minute to get my jaw off the ground. The clouds, the venue, the vines, the view of Mt. Hood...it was all just so sweet and beautiful. Libby and Steve were really awesome, too. So laid back, warm and funny. And they have a fierce love. I think you'll see that in their photos.
I looked forward to Kylie and Taylor's wedding all year. After their engagement session at Smith Rock last fall, I was smitten with their love story, who they are as individuals, and as a couple. They chose the FivePine Lodge in Sisters for their wedding (not far from my favorite place in Oregon: Bend) and it was just incredible. It was so cool because even though it was chilly and rainy Kylie and Taylor were absolutely going to have their ceremony outside. They were amazing because they just believed it would clear up and be ok - and do you know...it totally did!! And it was better than ok! The woods were damp and the tinniest bit drizzly, but the day could not have been more gorgeous and made for the dreamiest images! I met with Toni and Tom at the Hoyt Arboretum at sunrise. Portland is full of gorgeous spots for portrait sessions, but this was my first time amongst these trees and wow are they amazing. I was super excited for their maternity session, as we had all had coffee together a few weeks prior, and after spending that bit of time with them I knew their images would be really special because they are such an awesome couple with a beautiful connection. We spent the morning wandering through the fog and trees and it was a total blast! Thank you, Toni and Tom, for having me along to share in this sweet and exciting time of your lives!
So, I was really excited for this wedding. I've known Trevor for a while now and could not wait to officially meet his love, Katie and their adorable baby girl, Paige. They got married in their hometown of Spokane, WA at a family barn and it was just the sweetest. We were surrounded by all of the love of their joyous family and friends and the overwhelming beauty of the PNW. Katie and Trevor were high school sweethearts and life brought them back together. I love love. Thank you Trevor and Katie for such a beautiful day and for having me there to document your intimate wedding celebration. It was such a honor.
This wedding was extra goodness for me because I've known Jean and Tylor for a bunch of years and I love their little family. They are amazing! With three kiddos (one is a newborn) they still managed to pack up their entire lives and move from Las Vegas to Eugene, OR and simultaneously plan and throw the most beautiful backyard wedding I've ever been to. I spent 2 days in Eugene, OR and became quite smitten. The previous morning I was able to take a boat ride on the Fern Ridge Reservoir and walk Downtown before their rehearsal dinner. I arrived that evening to house full of so much love and warmth and as I took pictures I got hear Tylor and Jeans family and friends talk about how much the bride and groom mean to them and how their love has inspired each of them. It was very special. The following day was their wedding and it was so fun to spend time and watch as everyone got ready. Much of the day was spent with them loving on their kids and just hanging out. They both were so peaceful and relaxed and it was so nice to see them actually enjoying those hours before they said I do...It was such an honor to witness and document their intimate wedding. Thank you Jean and Tylor for trusting me with some of your most special memories!

This was such an awesome day! It was my first time to the Wahclella Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. The sun was beaming and Rachel and Sam were two of the happiest love birds I have had the pleasure of photographing! There were several of us photographers out here for a workshop and we were all pumped for this Couples Session! We made several stops along the river to take some shots and soak in the views. I couldn't stop smiling. . .Wahclella Falls had become one of my favorites places ever! Rachel and Sam were just as excited as I was to get down close to the spraying, misty falls and dip our feet in the chilly water. It was a day full of exploring and learning and making incredible memories.
